Will Carr passed away Monday, November 7, 1910, at Mt. Vernon, South Dakota, after an illness of only about two weeks, of typhoid fever. The remains arrived here yesterday, accompanied by his brother, Frank and his uncle, John Burnight, of this city, who had been at his bedside.

The funeral was conducted Thursday afternoon by Rev. D. K. Hurley at the Catholic church. Interment was made in the Catholic cemetery.

William Carr was born in Jones County, Iowa, twenty-five years ago last October. He came here with his parents when a child and this has been his home most of the time since. His wife died here about two and a half years ago. During the past year he has been farming near Mt. Vernon. His father, Henry Carr, resides in this vicinity. His friends here regret his untimely taking away and extend sympathy to the mourning relatives. A sister, Miss Carr, arrived from Denver, today to attend the funeral.
