Sadie Alderson

Sadie Alderson, 98, Seney, Iowa, died early Tuesday (Aug 1, 1972) at the Plymouth County Home after a short illness.

She had been a resident at the Home for four years. Just last Friday, Miss Alderson, celebrated her 98th birthday anniversary at the Home.

Miss Alderson was born July 28, 1874, at Argyle, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late Jonathan and Agnes (Knewstubb) Alderson. She came to Plymouth county as a child and lived here since that time. Miss Alderson attended Westmar College and later taught school for many years in Plymouth County.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and three sisters.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Mauer Funeral Chapel with Rev. George Dunn officiating. Burial will be in LeMars Memorial Cemetery under direction of the Mauer Funeral Home.

Miss Alderson is survived by a number of nieces and nephews in the LeMars area. She was a member of the Seney United Methodist Church.
