F. Irene Ewin

Hope, Ark -- F. Irene Ewin, 75, of Hope, Ark. and a former Le Mars resident, died Tuesday, March 28, 2000, at Christus St. Michael Health Center in Texarkana, Texas.

The former F. Irene Jones was born Sept. 16, 1924. She was the daughter of S. A. Jones and E. Ferne (King) Jones Tindall. She was a retired seamstress having worked at Aalfs Mfg in LeMars, Iowa.

She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church in Springhill, Arkansas. Survivors include her husband, Vernon C. Ewin of Hope, Ark.; one son, David V. and Dianne Ewin of Decatur, Ark.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Richard Ziemann of Keller, Texas, and Diana C. and Jerry Applegate of Springhill, Ark; her mother, E. Ferne King Jones Tindall of LeMars; 10 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her adoptive father, S. A. Jones. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Herndon Chapel in Hope, Arkansas, with the Rev. Perry Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Hope. Visitation will be today (Thursday) from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Herndon Funeral Home, Inc., of Hope.
