H. H. Moritz, Long Time Remsen Farmer Died Last Thursday.
H. H. (Bob) Moritz, farmer southeast of Remsen, died in Sacred Heart hospital last Thursday after a long illness. He had been a patient at the hospital for four months.
Born June 12, 1894, on a farm near Remsen, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. David Moritz, Sr., who settled near Remsen many years ago. H. H. Moritz married Florence Heckenlively, August 16, 1920, and they farmed near Kingsley until moving to a farm southeast of Remsen two years ago.
Survivors include the widow and a daughter and two sons, Robert, Glen and Twyla, also, the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. John Laude, Kennedy, Minn.; Harm Moritz, Washta; John Moritz, Struble and George and Chris W. Moritz and Mrs. Henry Baldes, Remsen.
Funeral services were held t 2:30 p.m. Saturday in the Kingsley Methodist church with Rev. Harlan Faris officiating. Burial was in the Remsen cemetery. – Le Mars Semi-Weekly Sentinel, Mary 10, 1949, page 1.
