Obituary: Madison Daily Leader-July 17, 1957. Robert Hodgson Succumbs Today.
Mr Robert Hodgson died early today in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Lester Lemme, Madison. He was 78 years old.
The body will lie in state at the Hallenbeck Funeral home until Saturday.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a m , Saturday in the Methodist church with

Dr Frank Lockridge officiating. Hallenbecks funeral home is in charge of
services. Robert Raw Hodgeson was born Dec 25, 1878 in Central City, Col. He
married Daisy Gillette Nov 26, 1903 in LeMars, IA. They celebrated their
golden wedding anniversary in 1953. The couple lived in Le Mars until 1908 when
they moved to Wessington Springs. They moved to Madison in 1937. Survivors
include two daughters, Mrs Gerald Cummings, Canby, Minn and Mrs Lester Lemme,
Madison; one son, Harry Hodgson, Madison: three grandchildren, two brothers,
Fred Hodgson, Upland, Californa, and Charles Hodgson, Wessington Springs.
He was a member of the Methodist church and Odd Fellows Lodge.
