IN GENERAL:
~The infant child of Mr. Andrews, the liveryman, died yesterday of scarlet fever. The funeral took place the same day. The twin sister and Mr. Andrews are improving slowly.
~Mrs. T. H. Andrews is much better. She has had a serious time and her many friends will rejoice to know that she will soon be able to receive and chat with them.

TRANSCRIBER NOTE: It is suspected that the Mrs. T. H. Andrews is the mother of the infant child who died on Feb. 28, 1889. The child’s tombstone marker has now been restored (June 2012). The marker reads: Gladys Andrew, died 28 Feb 1889, aged 16 months. This little one is buried LeMars Memorial Cemetery, Block 5. Note that the tombstone spells the surname as ANDREW.
ADDITIONAL NOTE: The 1897 City of LeMars Directory has T. H. Andrews documented with res: 1108 Eagle.
