Sanow, Harold Henry 1914-1914
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sanow mourn the loss of their four months old son, Harold Henry, who passed away last Thursday afternoon at two o’clock after a brief illness with whooping cough. Harold Henry was born June 13th. His parents are deeply grieved over the loss of this promising youngster and their friends in the neighborhood extend sincere sympathies. The funeral was held Saturday afternoon with services Christ Lutheran church, conducted by Rev. J. P. Guenther. – Le Mars Semi-Weekly Sentinel, Oct. 13, 1914, page 4.

A similar obit was published in the Remsen Bell-Enterprise, October 8, 1914, page 8, column 4Note: There is no gravestone for this baby, but he is likely buried here as the funeral was at Christ Lutheran in Remsen. The mother’s name, according to the church baptism records, was Fenna (Aljets) Sanow. The baby could be buried in the Aljets lot purchased by Offer Aljets in 1912.
