Katherine Sanny, 78, a resident of the The Abbey in Le Mars, died Thursday, April 9, 1992.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Monday, April 13 at the Presbyterian United Church of Christ in Le Mars. Rev. Robert Grupp officiated. Burial was in the Remsen City Cemetery.
Mrs. Sanny was born Oct. 30, 1913 at Ellsworth, Minn., to Christ and Katherine H. (Herding) Solma. She was raised at Ellsworth and moved to a farm northeast of Remsen.
She married Henry G. Sanny on August 27, 1937 at Rock Rapids. The couple retired and moved to Le Mars in 1966. Mr. Sanny died in 1975.
Surviving are a daughter, Doris Dau of Le Mars; three sons, Marlin of Beatrice, Nebr., Gerald of Le Mars and Ervin of Bondurant; 10 grandchildren; and a sister, Grace Boesel of Sioux Falls, S.D.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Tina and Della, and three brothers, Jake, Harm and Hiko. – Remsen Bell-Enterprise, April 16, 1992
