Mrs. Roy (Margaret) Steffen, 75, of Remsen, IA died Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars, IA.
Marge was born March 27, 1935 at South Sioux City, NE, the daughter of Leonard & Hazel (Nelson) Bruckner. She was raised in Leeds and graduated from Central High School in Sioux City in 1953.
On Jan. 14, 1954 she married Roy Steffen at Christ Lutheran Church in Remsen. She worked for Floyd Valley Community Health as a home care aid, cooked at several area restaurants and Union School, in addition to farming with Roy until their retirement in 1998. Roy died Oct. 23, 2010.
Marge was a member of Christ Lutheran Church LCMS and Christ Lutheran Ladies Aid. She loved to go fishing, camping, played cards with the Jolly Bidders card club for over 50 years, and attending all of her children’s and grandchildren’s school events.
Survivors include: On daughter, Deb Steffen of Remsen; Three sons, John & his daughter Jessica of Remsen, Gary and his sons, Zachary & Isaac of Lakeville, MN, Ryan & his children, Joshua & Amanda of Germantown, IA, Three brothers, Larry Bruckner & his wife Diane, Don Bruckner & his wife Paula, Bob Bruckner & his wife Cindy all of Omaha, NE. ; One sister-in-law, Carole Steffen of Sioux City, IA.
