Taken By DeathMrs. Mary N. Schuttpelz, 71, died Saturday morning at her home in Perry Township. Mrs. Schuttpelz was born March 21, 1877, in Syr, Luxembourg. She came to the United States at the age of 16, and was married to Herman Schuttpelz, February 20, 1900, in Sioux City. She spent her remaining years in Perry Township. Mr. Schuttpelz died in 1931.
Surving are six sons, Carl and Elmer of Sioux City, Richard of Holly springs, Iowa, William of Seattle, Washington., George of Remsen, Iowa, and Herman of Brownsville, Texas; four daughters, Mrs. Freida Rodwig and Mrs. Elsie Bartleson of Monroe, La., Mrs. Christina Vondrak of Perry Township, and Mrs. Dorothy Lukins of LeMars; 17 grandchildren; a brother, Rev. J. M. Greiveldinger of Dubuque, Iowa; three sisters, Miss Amy Greiveldinger of Dubuque, and two sisters in Luxembourg.
Funeral services were held at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic church in Sioux City with Rev. Newman Flanagan officiating, and burial was in Calvary Cemetery.

[Another Obituary]A number of friends and relatives from here attended the funeral services at 9 a. m. Tuesday for Mrs. Mary Schuttpelz at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic church in Sioux City, Rev, Newman Flanagan officiated.
Burial was in Calvary cemetery. Mrs. Schuttpelz was a resident here for many years.
