Obituary. William G. Tonsfeldt.
William G. Tonsfeldt, 82, Remsen, died Nov. 29, 1975, at his home after suffering an apparent heart attack.
Services were Monday in St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran church. Rev. Thomas Renquist officiated. Burial was in the Remsen city cemetery with the Moeller funeral home in charge.
Mrs. Tonsfeldt was born Oct. 4, 1893, in rural Remsen. He married Mrs. Lena Christophersen May 10, 1927, in Le Mars.
They farmed northeast of Remsen until 1940, in the Cherokee area until 1945 and moved to town in 1954.
Survivors are his wife; four daughters, Mrs. Michael (Frances) Church of Council Bluffs, Mrs. Oscar (Eunice) Bergquist of Sioux City, and Mrs. Alma Schiltz and Mrs. Orren (Leona) Kemp, both of Le Mars; six grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. - - Le Mars Daily Sentinel, Dec. 1, 1975, page 11.
