Funeral services for Mrs. Hinderk Zachte, early day resident of this community who passed away Thursday at her home on a farm near Lamberton, Minn., were held Sunday afternoon in St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran church. Surviving Mrs. Zachte are her children: Mrs. John Nordmann of Ellsworth, Minn.; Mrs. Otto Nordmann of Rock Rapids, Iowa, and Mrs. John Lavendar and Henry Zachte of Lamberton. The following brothers and sister also survive: Peter and George Raveling and Mrs. Hilka Tjaden of Remsen, and Jacob Raveling of Elrosa, Minn. – Le Mars Semi-Weekly Sentinel, July 11, 1939, page 3.
