Burton Parriott, Remsen attorney, dies unexpectedly.
Burton Parriott, who had served as Remsen city attorney for many years, died unexpectedly at his home at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday of an apparent heart attack.
Friends said he had driven home from the Iowa lakes that day and intending to attend a card party Wednesday evening in Remsen.
Mr. Parriott was well known among Le Mars and other area attorneys. He attended court sessions in Le Mars regularly.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane, and four sons, Toby, Michael, Phillip and Richard. - Le Mars Daily Sentinel, Thursday, Nov. 6, 1969, page 1
