William Albert Nitzschke, 85, of Remsen died Monday (Oct. 18,1962) in a nursing home in Le Mars.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Christ Lutheran church in Remsen. Rev. Lee R. Mentink will officiate. Burial will be in the Remsen City cemetery under direction of the Moeller funeral home in Remsen.
Mr. Nitzschke was born Aug. 12, 1897, rural Remsen.
He married Edith Schoenrock Sept. 7, 1927. They farmed in the Remsen area for many years. She died July 15, 1959. He moved to Sioux City in 1965 and returned to the Remsen area in June of 1961 to live with his daughter.
Mr. Nitzschke was a member of Christ Lutheran church.
Survivors are one son, Marvin of Remsen; two daughters, Mrs. Arnold (Colleen) Ott of Remsen and Mrs. Irwin (Carmen) Pearistein of Clovis, Calif.; one brother, Herman, of Mesa, Ariz.; one sister, Mrs. Carl Grauer of Marcus; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. – Le Mars Daily Sentinel, Oct. 20, 1982, page 13.
