Died.
The sad tiding of the death of Mrs. U. R. Bowers reached her friends in LeMars Friday evening. She was a sister of L. D. Clay, her maiden name being Alma G. Clay. Mrs. Bowers and their two sons, Harry and Will, came to LeMars in 1883. They moved to Chicago in ’85 and later moved to Los Angeles, Cal., where they have been engaged in the fruit canning business for a number of years. Mrs. Bowers has been very ill for some time with catarrh of the stomach and died Friday afternoon leaving a devoted husband and two sons to mourn her loss.~Source: LeMars Semi-Weekly Post, Tuesday, March 27, 1894
