Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran church Remsen for Mrs. Mary Moeller, 84, a Remsen resident for the last 50 years who died Tuesday at the Sacred Heart hospital inLe Mars where she had been for the last four days. Rev. Paul Wuebben will officiate and burial will be in the community cemetery. The Moeller funeral home has charge.
She was born September 25, 1873, in Germany and came to the United States with her parents at the age of 3, settling at Belle Plaine, Ia. She married there to Theordore Moeller of Remsen in 1907. He died in 1941.
Survivors are three sons, Ferdinand of Remsen, Alonzo of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Ervin of Sioux City; four daughters, Miss Emma of Sioux City, Miss Ella of Casper, Wyo., Mrs. Kenneth Hornung of Highland Park, Ill, and Mrs. Harley Neir of Marcus, 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. – Le Mars Globe Post, Oct 31, 1957, page 4.
