Mrs. George Moritz Died Thursday. Move To Le Mars Four Months Ago.
Mrs. George Moritz, 500 First Street SE., died at Sacred Heart hospital on Thursday, September 13, after a lingering illness.
Mrs. Moritz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Krebs, was born April 23, 1884, in Wisconsin, and was 61 years, 4 months and 20 days of age at the time of her death. She had been chief telephone operator in Scranton, N. D.. for twenty-five years, prior to moving to Le Mars four months ago.
She was married September 26, 1923 to George Moritz, who survives with six sisters, Mrs. Louise Vinz of Minneapolis, Mrs. Anna Anderson of Glendora, California, Mrs. Lida Kostboth of Canistota, S. D., Mrs. Christina Bush of Thunder Hawk, S. D., Mrs. Laura Sharon of Mobile, Alabama, and Mrs. Emily Orchard of Minneapolis. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock at St. John’s Lutheran church with Rev. L.L. Belk officiating and burial was made in the Remsen cemetery. – Le Mar Semi-Weekly Sentinel, Sept 18, 1945, page 1.
