Obituaries. Mrs. Albert Lang.
Mrs. Albert Lang, 82, Remsen died Saturday (Sept 9, 1978) at her home after a long illness.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran church, Remsen. Rev. Julian Swanson will officiate. Burial will be in the Remsen cemetery under direction of the Moeller funeral home.
A prayer service will be held Tuesday at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Lang, the former Irene Leona Stockstill, was born Sept. 14, 1895, to George F. and Rheta May McConkey Stockstill at Sur, Calif. She was married June 2, 1915 at Berkely, Calif., to Albert Lang.
The couple moved to Montana and homesteaded at Lavina and Bozeman for two years before moving to Remsen. Mr. Lang died in 1959.
Mrs. Lang was a member of St. Paul’s church and St. Paul’s ladies aid.
Survivors are four sons, Clyde and Howard, both of Remsen, Wayne of Sioux City and Roger of Apple Valley, Minn.; two daughters, Mrs. John (Marjorie) Maloney of Denver, Colo.; and Mrs. William C. (Grace) Stine of Ashland, Ohio.
Also five sisters, Mrs. Leota Smith of San Francisco, Mrs. Hazel Johnson of Sergeant Bluff, Mrs. Mary Nutcher of Merced, Calif., Mrs. Ursus Corea of Salinas, Calif.; and Mrs. Jean Mardesich of San Pedro, Calif; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Edward (Ann) Lang, Long Beach, And Mrs. Walter (Alice) Lang, Vermillion.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; two sons, Donald and Arvid; a daughter, Mrs. Lester (Rheta) Collins and a brother, David. – Le Mars Daily Sentinel, Sept 11, 1978, page 10.
