MRS. K. MANSFIELD FORMER COUNTY RESIDENT, DIES AT SIOUX CITY

Mrs. Katherine Frances Mansfield, 92, Sioux City resident, died Monday at a hospital after a long illness.

Mrs. Mansfield, the former Katherine Briody (sic Brodie), was born Feb. 18, 1872, at Seneca, III. She was married to Matthew Mansfield at Pierre, S.D., Oct. 6, 1900. They lived in Plymouth county from 1909 to 1943, when they moved to Sioux City. He died at Sioux City Oct. 28, 1950.

Survivors are five daughters, Mrs. Frances Moe and Mrs. Alice Worden, both of Sioux City, Mrs. Lucille Hall of Orange, Calif., Mrs. Margaret Ream of Westfield, and Mrs. Nona Banks of Akron; three sons, James of Elk Point, S.D., Edward of Mora, Minn., and John of Glendale, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Margaret O'Boyle of Fairfax, S.D.; grandchildren and 43 great-children. The body was taken to the Manning O’Toole Funeral Home, Sioux City.
