Edward C. Clarey
Edward Clifford Clarey, 83. of Akron, died Wednesday (May 1, 1985) at the Akron Hospital after a brief illness. Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Akron. Rev. Stanley Stone will officiate.

Burial will be in St. Josephs Cemetery at Akron. The rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday in The Schroeder Funeral Home in Akron.

Mr. Clarey was born Feb. 15.1902, at Akron [son of Thomas F. and Mary Boden Clarey]. He married Iva Belt Jan. 9, 1924. at Akron. They farmed near Akron. She died Jan. 25. 1946. He retired in 1950 and moved into Akron in 1967.

Survivors are five sons, Thomas. William and Robert, all of Akron. James of Sioux City and L. Clifford of Covina. Calif.; four daughters. Mary McIlvenna. Phyllis Ludwigs and Irene Greenleaf, all of Akron and LaVonne Henry of Covina: 52 grandchildren and 75 great-grandchildren.
