Mrs. Carrie Adams
Funeral services for Mrs. Carrie Adams, 70, longtime resident of the Akron area, who died Friday in an Anderson, Ind., hospital after suffering a heart attack while visiting at the home of her daughter, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Church of Christ in Akron. Rev. G. W. Swan will officiate and burial will be in Riverside cemetery Akron, under direction of the Lewison funeral home. The casket will be opened at the church from 12:45 to 2 p.m. Tuesday, and will not be opened following services.
Mrs. Adams was born March 11, 1887, in Union County, S. D. She was married to Arthur Adams September 6, 1913. The couple farmed near Akron until Mr. Adams' death in 1953, when Mrs. Adams retired to Akron.
Survivors include a son. Ralph of Akron; four daughters, Mrs. Elsie Trudeaux of Pomona, Cal.. Mrs. Shirley Van Hoff of Le Mars, Mrs. Lois Bullock of Chesterfield. Ind., and Mrs. Bonnie Loudenslager of Sioux Falls: a brother Thomas Ringsruder of Elk Point; two sisters, Mrs. C. H. Johnson of Beresford. S. D., and Mrs. Olive Ringsrude of Los Angeles, and six grandchildren.
