Death Summons Father of an Akron Resident
The many friends of Mrs. Fred Claesson extend sympathy in the death of her father Peter H. Delperdang, of Sioux City, Saturday night in a hospital there. He had made numerous visits in his daughter's home here in year's past.
Mr. Delperdang was born February 21, 1892 at Struble, Ia. He went to Sioux City in 1910, at which time he was employed by the Milwaukee railroad. He retired in 1955. Mr. Delperdang was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, the Benefit Association of Railway Employees and a veteran of World War I.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Claesson, of Akron, Ia., and Mrs. Irene Setbacken, of San Lorenzo, Calif,; a sister, Mrs. John Lucas, of Remsen, Ia.; three brothers, John of Sioux Falls, Tony of Parkston, S.D., and Nick in California, and three grandchildren.
Services were held Wednesday morning at Sacred Heart Catholic church, Rev. Eugene Lynch officiating, and interment in the Catholic cemetery at Remsen.
