Gratie Katherine Mueller

Gratie Katherine Mueller, 90, of LeMars, IA, died Wednesday, July 3, 1991 at The Abbey in LeMars.

Services were held at the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home on Friday afternoon, July 5, 1991, the Reverend David Kramer officiating. Burial was in Memorial Cemetery.

Mrs. Mueller was born in Plymouth County on December 9, 1900, the daughter of Herman C. and Tena (Eden) Popken. She married Ernest Mueller March 8, 1922 in St, John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Craig, and they farmed until his death in 1928. She lived in the Struble area until the early 1940's; in LeMars until 1952; and in southern California until 1982.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law Delores and Nicholas Coad of LeMars; two sisters, Rose Oltmanns of LeMars and Sophie Delperdang of Akron, IA; four grandchildren; one step-grandchild; a great grandson; and a step-great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by a daughter Phyllis Wilson; and a brother, John Popken.
