James Hoffman, 70, died at his home in Glasgow, Montana, following a heart attack.

Son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John T. Hoffman, he was born in Johnson Township and lived there until 1903 when he went to Glasgow. At the time of his death he was a deputy county clerk.

Surviving besides his widow are two daughters and five sons and one grandchild, also five brothers and three sisters. His brothers Leo and T. J. Hoffman attended the funeral services which were held Monday morning in Glasgow.
