Mrs. George E. Allen, 87, a resident of Sioux City for the last 31 years, died Friday morning, June 7, at a Correctionville, Iowa nursing home.

Mrs. Allen, the former Maude E. Peck, was born Dec. 7, 1886 at Martinsburg, Nebr. She was married June 10, 1905 at Elk Point, S.D. The couple farmed in the Akron and Westfield, Iowa area until moving to Sioux City. Mr. Allen died Nov. 26, 1951 in Sioux City. Mrs. Allen was of the, Methodist faith.

Survivors include three sons, Ray of Alcester, S.D., Orin of Luton, Iowa, and Clifford of Sioux City; five daughters, Mrs. Rose Carter of Bronson, Iowa, Mrs. Marie Manoiki of Chicago, Mrs. Dorothy Kemp of Sioux City, Mrs. Opal Trobaugh of Akron, Iowa, and Mrs. Leone Dixon of Moville, Iowa; 30 grandchildren, 61 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

The W. Harry Christy Funeral Home in Morningside was in charge of arrangements.
