Grover C. Rollins

Grover C, Rollins. 99, of Akron died Sunday (Jan. 22, 1984) at the Akron Nursing Home after a brief illness.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Schroeder Funeral Home. Rev. Lester Norton will officiate. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery.

Mr. Rollins was born May 12, 1884, in Wickliffe, Ky. He married Lydia Harrington Oct. 24,1912, at Westfield. She died in 1945. He worked at the Methodist Hospital in Sioux City for many years. He moved to Independence and lived with his daughter before entering the Akron Nursing Home in July of 1975.

Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Helen) Hebeler of Akron and Mrs. Mervin (Catherine) Hall of Independence; one son Kenneth of Des Moines; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
