Mr. Hummel was born in Union County, S. D., June 4, 1875, and had lived at Jefferson and Elk Point, S. D. He went to Sioux City in 1931. He was married to Eliza English, February 10, 1907. He was employed by the government and was a member of a Masonic lodge at Elk Point. He was a member of Assembly of God church.
Surviving are his wife; one son, Albert, Sioux City; four brothers, Fred and George, Westfield, Joe of Sioux City, and Thomas of Jefferson; four sisters, Mrs. Lena Campbell of Sioux City, Mrs. Ida Morehead of Akron, Mrs. Emma Tuttle and Mrs. aggie Johnson of Minnesota, and one granddaughter. Donna Mae Hummel, Sioux City.

Le Mars, IowaFuneral services for Charles Hummel of Sioux City, who died of a heart attack at his home Tuesday were held at 1 p. m. Thursday in the W. Harry Christy Funeral Chapel, Rev. Jos. Steele, Jr., officiated and burial was in Riverside Cemetery at Akron. Mr. Hummel lived near Westfield for a number of years and is. well and favorably known hero. Two of his brother, George and Fred are residents of Westfield.

Le Mars, IowaThis community was very sorry to hear of the death of Charles Hummel in his home in Sioux City. A number of relatives and friends from here attended the funeral services, held in Sioux City, Thursday. Interment was in Riverside cemetery at Akron.
