Obituary. Roy H. Hansen, 57, lifelong Remsen area farmer, died Friday (Nov. 9, 1973) at Floyd Valley hospital.
Services were Monday at 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Remsen, with Rev. Thomas Renquist officiating.
Burial was in the Remsen city cemetery with Moeller funeral home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Hansen was born Aug. 17, 1916. He farmed in the Remsen area all his life.
Survivors are his wife Evelyn; four daughters, Elaine and Sharon, both at home, and Beverly and Carol, both of Sioux City; a son, Craig of Remsen; his mother, Mrs. Emma Hansen of Remsen; a brother, Henry of Remsen and a sister, Mrs. Kenneth (Anna) Sitzman, Sioux City. – Le Mars Daily Sentinel, Nov. 12, 1973, page 7.
