H. A. KOPPERT, 68, DIES AFTER LONG ILLNESS, BURIAL HERE
Henry A. Koppert, 68, died Thursday, June 4, at his home at 420 Third Ave. SW, LeMars, after a lingering illness.
Funeral services were conducted by Rev. L.L. Belk at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 6, at St. John’s American Lutheran Church. Interment was in the City cemetery under the direction of the Wiltgen-Luedtke funeral home.
Mr. Koppert was born July 3, 1885, at Luxembourg, Iowa, the son Andrew and Barbara Koppert. He came to this community as a boy and attended schools in Hospers and Alton. He had made LeMars his home the past 25 years and had operated a repair shop.
His marriage to Carolina Moehlman took place Sept. 28, 1917, at Onawa. She survives him as do a daughter, Mrs. Jack (Irene) Robb of Ann Arbor, Mich.; three sons, Eugene of Spokane, Wash., Robert and Leo, of LeMars; and two sisters, Mrs. Joe Brunsman of Alton and Mrs. Charles Thumn of Portland, Ore.
Also surviving are two brothers, Edward of Portland, Ore., Nicholas of Huron, S.D., and several grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters.
