YOUNG AKRON BOY, STEVEN CLARK DIES WEDNESDAY OF LEUKEMIA
Steven Clark, 5, son of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Clark of Akron, died of leukemia in a Sioux City hospital Wednesday.
The lad's relatives arranged for him to receive his last year's Christmas gifts early, in November, 1957, because doctors had said he couldn't live until Christmas. He recovered sufficiently to return to his Akron home from the hospital here, but had to return to the hospital last June.

Le Mars, IowaDEATH SUMMONS LITTLE STEVEN CLARK YESTERDAY
This community was saddened by the news of the death of Steven William Clark, five-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Clark, at a Sioux City hospital at nine o'clock Wednesday morning.
Steven became afflicted with the dread disease of leukemia about a year and a half ago, and everything humanly possible was done to effect a cure and to alleviate his suffering, but to no avail. The deepest sympathy of the community goes out to the bereaved parents and relatives of this bright little boy, who have borne with the greatest fortitude the knowledge that there could be but one eventuality for the little fellow.
Funeral services will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Akron at 2:00 o'clock Friday afternoon, November 21 with Rev. David J. Roy officiating.
Lewison Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
