H. J . Goff, a well-known travelling man from Dubuque, who has been quite seriously ill at the Richard's house for it-he past week, died this morning at 7:30 o'clock.

Mr. Goff was 58 years, of age and for some time past suffered from a severe cold which, brought on congestion of the lungs from which, as above stated, he died this morning. Mrs. Goff and her son arrived from Dubuque yesterday.

The remains will be taken to Dubuque for interment on tomorrow afternoon's train. For a number of years Mr. Goff has traveled for the Dubuque firm of Wemott, Howard , & Co. He was well known to our citizens, and respected as a high-minded, honorable, Christian man. Peace to his ashes.
