The Funeral of the Late Hugh Watson

The funeral of the late Hugh Watson was held at the Union township Presbyterian, church on Tuesday and the last services were held in the presence of a very large concourse of friends and neighbors. Dr. Carpenter, pastor of the church, conducted the services.

The deceased was born near Montreal Canada, seventy-three years ago. He came to this county twenty-seven years ago and has lived here continually since. Be leaves a large family. Mrs. Hugh Maxwell, Mrs. Thos. Eyres, of this county, Mrs. George Lewes of Plainview, Neb., and Allen, James, Archie, Jane, Beatrice and Lena, who reside at home.

Mr. Watson was held in great esteem by those among whom he has resided so long and his death is regretted by a large circle of acquaintances.
