Mrs. Emeline Erecht, a former resident of Le Mars, died at her home 2506 McFall avenue, Sioux City, on Tuesday afternoon of a complication of diseases. She is survived by her husband, Geo. Ebrecht, four daughters, Mrs. J. C. Groth, of Le Mars, Mrs. R.E. Ruggles, Lydia and Emma and a son, George, of Sioux City. There are four grandchildren. Emeline C. Stang was born at Luzerne, Benton county, on September 14, 1856, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clement Stang being pioneers of that region. While living there she was united in marriage with George Ebrecht.
After their marriage they lived in Sac county and then at Remsen and then came to Le Mars where they lived for a number of years, leaving here to live in Sioux City about fifteen years ago. The funeral services were held yesterday afternoon at the Lutheran church at Remsen.
Mrs. Ebrecht was a devoted wife and mother, and was greatly beloved in a wide circle of acquaintances and had many friends in Le Mars and Remsen. – Le Mars Semi-Weekly Sentinel, Oct. 14, 1921, Page 1.
