Henry F. Frerichs, 88, an Akron farmer died Wednesday, February 13 at a Sioux City hospital of injuries he suffered February 7 in a fall in his hayloft.

Funeral services were held l:30 p.m. Friday, February 16 at the First Church of Christ at Akron. The Rev. Tom Steele officiated. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery at Akron under direction of the Schroeder Funeral Home of Akron. Pall bearers were Alva Port, William Knecht, Lloyd Searls, Donald Wilier, Walter Johnson, Robert Utesch.

Mr. Frerichs was born January 30, 1885, in Sioux County, Iowa. He had farmed all his adult life in the Akron area. He married Anna Jensen February 23,1922 in Sioux City. She died in November 1970.

Survivors include a son, Richard of Hawarden, Iowa; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Charles Hendricks of Chatsworth, Iowa; a sister, Mrs. Emma Luschen of Le Mars, Iowa; eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
