Kenneth Twedt, age 46, son-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. William Kiewel, passed away July 4 in Portland, Oregon after a two years illness.

The funeral service was held Saturday and burial was beside his wife, Lajla, who preceded him in death June 17, 1972.

Mr. Twedt, a Navy veteran of World War II, was born April 5, 1926 in Lincoln, County, S.D, He married Lajla Kiewel on December 19, 1946 in Sioux Falls, where they lived until moving to Portland 20 years ago.

He is survived by a son, Tom, serving in the Navy at Whidby Island, Washington, two grandsons, his mother, Mrs. Elmer Twedt of Hartford, S.D., 2 brothers and 4 sisters.
