Funeral services were held Wednesday, February 9, for Mrs. Roy (Maggie) Carlson, age 68, at the Westside Church of Christ, the Reverend Dean Orris officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery under the direction of the Schroeder Funeral Home.

Pall bearers were: Malcolm Brodie, Darcy Fletcher, George Johnston, Lyle F. Jacobs, Embert Klemme and William Harkness.

Mrs. Carlson died February 6 in the Akron hospital.

She was the former Maggie Hanson, born September 20,1903, in Union County, S.D. On December 9,1929, she was married to Roy Carlson at Yankton, S.D. She was a lifelong Akron area resident.

Survivors are her husband, sons Lowell of Vermillion, S.D., and Le Roy of Grand Island, Nebr.; daughters, Mrs. Delbert Sanowof Le Mars and Mrs. Robert Lanning of Akron; 12 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; two sisters, Miss Alice Hanson and Mrs. Lloyd Peck, both of Akron.
