Funeral services were held Monday, July 5 for Mrs. George Ross, age 87, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Akron, Rev. Stanley R. Stone officiating. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery. A rosary was held Sunday evening, July 4 at 8 o'clock at the Schroeder Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ross died Thursday, July 1 at a Sioux City hospital after a brief illness. She was born November 25, 1883 at Vail, Iowa (the former Margaret Burns), and married George Ross January 20, 1913 at Miller S. Dak. where they farmed until moving to a farm near Akron in 1934.

Survivors are her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Naomi Garner of San Francisco, Calif., Mrs. Virgil Harris of Akron, and Miss Vera Ross, at home; a son Elaine at home; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
