Mrs. Laurinda Wendt, 87, Akron, formerly of Le Mars, died Friday morning at the Akron Hospital after an illness of several weeks.

Funeral services were held 1:30 p.m. February 15 at Plymouth Presbyterian Church, Rev. Charles Kruse officiated. Burial was in Le Mars Memorial Cemetery.

The former Laurinda Hamilton, she was born April 20, 1883, in South Dakota. She married Christian Wendt May 29, 1903, in Le Mars. Mrs. Wendt was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1940, a son, Christian in infancy and a daughter, Myrtle.

Survivors are four sons, George of Sioux City; Roy of Logan, Utah, Edwin of Merrill and Ralph of rural Le Mars; two brothers, Charles Phillipps of Abernathy, Texas, Gardner Hamilton of Los Angeles; a sister, Mrs. Ethel Hamilton of Des Moines; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
