The following obituary was sent to us by Mr. and Mrs. Harold Palm of Rapid City, S. Dak., thinking it would be of interest to some of our readers.

OBITUARY
Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Boyer, who died Wednesday morning at the Sturgis Community Nursing Home, was conducted by the Rev. Clayton Berry at the First Methodist Church at Sturgis at 2 p.m. Saturday. Burial in the Bear Butte Cemetery was directed by the F. O. Jolley Funeral Home.

Annie Evelyn Jeffers was born October 19, 1883, at Akron, Iowa, and attended school there. She married Irvin Martin Boyer there on December 13, 1903. The couple moved to South Dakota in 1909, homesteading near Fairpoint. In 1947 they took a ranch near Union Center, where they stayed until moving to Sturgis in 1958. Since that time Mrs. Boyer had made her home with her children and at the
nursing home.

She is survived by three sons, Les, Fortuna, Calif., Robert and William, both of Sturgis; six daughters: Mrs. Paul (Ethel) Kazebeer, Ridgefield, Wash.; Gladys Nelson, Scottsdale, Ariz.; Mrs. John (Fern) Stoddard, Sturgis; Hazel Shea, Seattle, Wash.; Mrs. Warren (Blanche) Kellog, Riverton, Wyo.; and Mrs. LeRoy (Dorothy) Pawlowski, Newell; 37 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren.
