Edwin Hilliker, 85, Akron, died Thursday at the Akron hospital after a brief illness.

Funeral services were held at 10;30 a.m. Saturday at the Schroeder funeral home with Rev. Ralph Burdette officiating. Burial was in Riverview cemetery.

Mr. Hilliker was born October 7,1885, at Akron. He married Neva Fletcher in 1912. She died in 1963. He was in the lumber business in Chatsworth, Gushing and Earlham and Verdell, Neb., and the last 13 years had lived on a farm near Akron.

Survivors are a son, Marvin of Orinda, Calif., one granddaughter and two great grandchildren.
