Wallace G. Munro

Wallace A. Munro, 70, Sioux City, a Le Mars native, died Wednesday at a Sioux City hospital after a 3-month illness.

Mr. Munro had been employed as a salesman and was well acquainted in the Le Mars area.

He was born March 18, 1901, in Le Mars and grew up in the Le Mars area where he attended schools.

His marriage to Edith V. Burgeson took place in Elk Point. The family also had resided in Spencer and Sheldon and were Sioux City residents for the last 30 years.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Nelson-Berger funeral home with Rev. Donald K. Sinclair of the First Congregational church officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Park cemetery, Sioux City.

Survivors include his wife Edith of Sioux City; a son Gerald of Minneapolis; a daughter Mrs. John Thiede of Minneapolis; two brothers Donald of Minneapolis and Hugh of Fresno, Calif., and four grandchildren.
