Adolph Henry Rann, 64, longtime rural Remsen resident, died unexpectedly either Sunday or Monday at his farm home of an apparent heart attack.
The body was found Tuesday, Plymouth county medical examiner Dr. Sherman Lindell, Le Mars, had not set time of death.
Mr. Rann was born May 19, 1911, on the farm where he died. His parents were Henry C. and Kate M. Engelbrecht Rann.
He farmed at Chatsworth and then west of Le Mars until 1953. In 1953 he moved back to Remsen and continued to live at the farm home after his retirement two years ago.
He was a member of the Eagles club in Le Mars.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, (Jan.2) at St. Paul evangelical Lutheran church, Remsen. Rev. Thomas Renquist will officiate and burial will be in the Remsen city cemetery under direction of the Moeller funeral home at Remsen.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. on New Year’s day.
Survivors are his father, Henry C. Rann, Remsen; two sons, Robert H. Rann of Le Mars and Jerry C. Rann, Oyens. There are nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother and a sister, Mrs. Charles (Mollie) Barthole. – Le Mas Daily Sentinel, Dec. 31, 1975, page 14.
