EVA BENNETT DIES IN CALIFORNIA

Funeral services for Eva Mae Strong Bennett will be held on Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral home in Elk Point and at 2 p.m. at the Richland Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Akron cemetery. Pallbearers will be relatives. Willis Morse, Ben Snave, Eldean Swoyer, O. Edsel Holden, Curtis Lewison Jr., and Clifford Erickson. Eva Mae Strong was born in Shellrock, Iowa, August 8, 1878. she died June 4, 1966 at the Dolstadt Nursing home in Atascadero, CA at the age of 87. In 1882 she moved with her parents to Akron, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Walter Bennett Nov. 6, 1895. Mrs. Bennett lived at Richland from 1904 until 1963 where she was an active member of the Richland Methodist church and the W.S.C.S. Survivors are two grandsons, L. Wesley Bennett of Antascardo, CA and Walter F. Bennett of Elk Point, and seven great grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by her husband in 1953 and two sons, Logan Clinton who died in infancy , and Lowell Walter who died in 1964.
