HENRY. (Special Correspondence). Mrs. Charlotte Kahl, who is in Remsen with her daughter, Mrs. Peter Koch, is seriously ill and there is a very grave concern over her condition, as she suffered a slight paralytic stroke a week ago, and this together with her advanced age makes her recovery a matter of more or less doubt. – Le Mars Globe Post, April 21, 1924, page 5.

DEATH OF MRS. KAHL. Old Resident of Remsen Succumbs to Paralytic Seizure.
Mrs. William Kahl, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Peter Koch, of Remsen, Saturday morning, at the age of 78 years. Mrs. Kahl suffered a paralytic stroke several months ago from which she never recovered and had been confined to bed since the seizure. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Koch, and one son, Henry Kahl, residing south of Remsen. The funeral was held at St. Paul’s church, Remsen, Tuesday. – Le Mars Semi-Weekly Sentinel, May 30, 1924, page 1.
