Area Deaths. CARL MEHLHOP WAS LONG REMSEN RESIDENT.
Carl Mehlhop, 69, a retired farmer who had lived in the Remsen vicinity all his life, died unexpectedly Tuesday, June 4, at Sacred Heart hospital.
Mr. Mehlhop was born on March 14, 1888, on a farm south of there.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Anna Holler of Remsen and 11 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Thursday at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran church. Burial was in the Remsen city cemetery. – Le Mars Sentinel, June 12, 1957, page 6.
