Life’s End. MRS. ANNA WEAVER, REMSEN, WAS FORMER FEDERAL NUTRITIONIST.
Mrs. Anna Kramer Weaver, 62, well known and lifelong Remsen resident, died early Thursday morning in the nursing home at Marcus where she had been at home the last two months.
Previously she had been a patient in Sacred Heart hospital, Le Mars, for two month. Mrs. Weaver had been in ill health about five years.
Anna Kramer was born in Remsen Dec. 31, 1895, the daughter of the late John and Anna Kramer, the latter surviving. She was a graduate of Remsen high school, later attended college and for a number of years worked as a nutritionist for the government and traveled over numerous foreign countries in this service. In recent years she lived with her mother and sisters in Remsen.
Surviving are the aged mother; a brother, George W. Kramer and three sisters, Miss Nell Kramer and Mrs. Louise Van den Brink who share their mother’s home, and Mrs. Paul Robert of Tacoma, Wash.
Services were at 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon in St. Paul’s Lutheran church, the Rev. Paul Wuebben conducting the services with interment in the community cemetery. – Le Mars Daily Sentinel, Sept 29, 1958, page 2.
