DIED.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Thomas, southeast of town, have the sincere sympathy of many friends in the death of their little son, Leo Joseph, at the tender age of 4 years, 4 months and 5 days. The child was recovering from a second attack of influenza and mastoid trouble developed. Upon the advice of their physician, they took the little boy to a Sioux City hospital Monday afternoon, an operation apparently being necessary to relieve his intense sufferings. However, it was there determined that an operation would be useless, as an abscess had formed on the brain, and death came to relieve the child’s sufferings Monday evening at 11 o’clock. He was a bright and lovable boy, and his early demise leaves a deep and aching void in the hearts of his fond parents and five brothers and sisters.

The remains were brought here from Sioux City Tuesday evening. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. D. K. Hurley in the Church of St. Patrick (Thursday) forenoon. Interment was in the Catholic cemetery.
