Remsen Bell-Enterprise. An eight year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Milfs who reside south of Remsen died of inflammation of the brain on Thursday, Aug. 4. The bereaved parents have the fullest sympathy of all the community in the hour of their sad visitation. – Le Mars Globe Post, Wednesday, August 10, 1904, page 4.

Also –
The funeral of Henry Boehmke took place on Saturday afternoon and was very largely attended. Rev. Brammer of Christ church, officiated. The remains of young Milfs were laid to rest on Sunday morning after the regular church services. – Le Mars Semi-Weekly Sentinel, Tuesday, August 16, 1904, page 1.
