Mrs. J. Henry (Amanda) Oltmanns, 71, of Le Mars died Tuesday (Feb. 7, 1984) at Marian Health Center, Sioux City, after a brief illness.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Christ Lutheran Church in Grant Township. Plymouth County. Rev. Jack Hebard will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

There will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars.

Mrs. Oltmanns, the former Amanda M. Popken, was born April 30,1912, at Craig to John and Katherine Janssen Popken. She married J. Henry Oltmanns Feb. 9,1933, at Craig. They farmed in the Le Mars area all their married life.

Mrs. Oltmanns was a member of Christ Lutheran Church.

Survivors are her husband; three sons, Wendell and Merlyn, both of Le Mars and Arlan of Sioux City; two daughters, Mrs. Cliff (Verda Jean) Koerselman of Le Mars and Mrs. Randall (Jeanette) Jensen of Merrill; three sisters. Mrs. Roy (Esther) Janssen of Worthington, Minn., Mrs. Harry (Mathilda) Johnson of Fort Dodge, and Normal Popken of Le Mars; 12 grandchildren and one greatgrandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
