FUNERAL OF MRS. DEEGAN

The funeral of the late Mrs. Ellen Deegan, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. M. King, in Sioux City Sunday, was held at St. James church in this city on Wednesday morning and was very largely attended by neighbors and old friends. Mrs. Deegan had been ill with asthma for some time. She was seventy-nine years of age and a pioneer resident of Plymouth County. She is survived by six children: Mrs. Katharine White, of Dubuque; Mrs. Mary Fitzpatrick, of Spokane; Mrs. M. King, of Sioux City; W. H. Deegan, J. J. Deegan and J. E. Deegan, of Elgin township. The funeral was conducted by Rev. E. J. McNally, of Struble.

Grandma Deegan, who has been sick for some time, died at the home of her
daughter, Mrs. Mike King, in Sioux City, Monday. She lived in this
neighborhood for a number of years. Since leaving the farm three miles north
of town, she has made her home with her daughter in Sioux City. Funeral
services were held from the St. James Catholic church in LeMars, Wednesday
morning.
